Intellectual Property Policy

Talent Corners Advisory (“Talent Corners”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. Here’s what you need to know about copyright and trademark infringement, and how to report it.

Copyright Takedown Notices

If you believe content on Talent Corners infringes your copyright, you can submit a copyright takedown notice. We will remove content when a valid copyright claim is made. We also reserve the right to terminate accounts of repeat infringers (those with more than two valid takedown notices).

Filing a Copyright Takedown Notice

To submit a copyright takedown notice, you must be the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf. You can file the notice using our complaint form or by emailing our designated copyright agent. To be effective, your notice must include:

  1. Your contact information, including full legal name, address, and email.
  2. A description of the copyrighted work and where the alleged infringing content appears on our platform.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in the notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
  4. Your electronic or physical signature.

Knowingly submitting a false or misleading takedown notice is illegal and could result in liability for you

Counter-Notification

If your content is removed due to a copyright claim and you believe it was a mistake, you can submit a counter-notification. This must include your signature, contact information, a description of the removed content, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake. By submitting a counter-notification, you agree to accept legal action from the copyright owner, if necessary.

Trademark Takedown Policy

If you believe your trademark rights are being violated on Talent Corners, you can submit a trademark takedown notice. To be effective, your notice must include:

  1. Your contact information.
  2. The word, symbol, or design claimed as a trademark.
  3. The basis for your trademark claim, including registration details.
  4. A description of how the content infringes your trademark and where it appears on our platform.
  5. Statements indicating your good faith belief that the trademark use is unauthorized, and that the information in the notice is accurate.

Before submitting a trademark takedown notice, consider whether the use of your trademark qualifies as “fair use,” which allows factual referencing or criticism.

Submitting a false or misleading claim of trademark infringement could result in liability for you.
